Google Releases Android 11 Beta 3
After two betas of Android 11 for several smartphones, Google has now come up with the third, and probably the final beta version of Android 11. This will be available for all Pixel devices released from 2017, which were Pixel 2 to the latest Pixel 4XL. While the maker hasn’t got notable features in this release, it made the final polishing before the launch of a stable version. Final polishing means making the apps suiting well into the new OS, thereby giving the best possible experience. Thus, Google for long has asked developers to make final improvements of all their apps before the scheduled stable launch, somewhere in September. Alongside, Google is also expected to bring the new hardware – Pixel 5 series. And this time, with 5G. In this beta, Google has fixed most of the bugs available in previous versions and made final touchings to the Exposure Notification API that’s being developed jointly by Google and Apple. This feature will help health authorities to track the people’s contact with any COVID-19 infected/diagnosed person, thereby notifying them to be careful. More specifically, the Exposure Notification API in previous versions had forced users to enable location services. But in Beta 3, it’s left to user’s choice and made more secure. Upon releasing this beta, Google spokesperson said, “This beta is focused on helping developers put the final touches on their apps as they prepare for Android 11. This includes the official API 30 SDK and Android Studio build tools”.
