Tata IPL 2022 Venues
The league stage of the competition will be held in Maharashtra with games taking place in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and Pune. In all, 20 matches each will be played at Wankhede and DY Patil stadiums whereas 15 each at Barbourne and MCA International Stadiums. Only 25% of crowds will be allowed in the stadium and COVID-19 protocols will be followed. BCCI is yet to announce the venue for the playoffs and final matches.
IPL 2022 Tickets
The press release has also informed us about the tickets for the IPL 2022. According to the notice, fans will be able to purchase the tickets to witness the league stage of the event starting March 23 on IPL’s official website and official ticketing partner BookMyShow.com This is because BookMyShow gained exclusive rights to sell the tickets for IPL 2022 and will also manage venue services for all stadiums including gate entry and spectator management services for the 70 league matches. The tweet by the BookMyShow handle indicates it as a ticketing partner. “We are delighted to be back on board with Tata IPL 2022 as the exclusive ticketing, gate entry, and spectator management partners for the 15th edition of the world’s most loved sporting extravaganza,” said Anil Makhija, COO- Live Entertainment and Venues, BookMyShow. “After a 2-year hiatus, the return of IPL to Indian stadia is a joyous occasion for fans to enjoy the experience and thrill of the mega spectacle on-ground as they did before the pandemic.”
IPL 2022 Ticket Prices
Ticket prices for the season opener between CSK Vs KKR start at Rs. 2500 and go all the way up to Rs. 4000 depending on seating arrangements. Ticket prices for some matches start at Rs. 1000 and go up to Rs. 8000. In some rare cases, prices are as low as Rs. 800 as well.

Heavyweights CSK and KKR will be taking on the field in the season opener this year on Saturday. Defending champions CSK led by MS Dhoni have won their last 4 matches against KKR and thus would be confident of starting on a winning note despite a few of their players missing the opening match. Unlike CSK, KKR will have the challenge of playing under a new skipper Shreyas Iyer and with a new team with some players retained from last season. Will be interesting to see how the two teams perform after the rebuilding process.
